BVOA Autumn meeting Dublin, Ireland

New Horizons in Thoracic Limb Surgery



BVOA’s 2010 autumn meeting will be held in Dublin, Ireland. This promises to be an exciting, interesting and entertaining meeting. The scientific programme promises the usual stimulating mix of UK and international speakers with small animal veterinary and human orthopaedic backgrounds. The provisional scientific programme includes:
  Imaging of the shoulder joint, including advanced imaging with an emphasis on comparative aspects between canine and human shoulder joint imaging

Shoulder arthroscopy and the management of ligamentous injuries of the shoulder

Developmental conditions of the shoulder joint

Miscellaneous condition of the shoulder joint such as tendon mineralization and caudal glenoid fragmentation.

Management of soft tissue injuries of the human shoulder - a physiotherapist’s perspective

Imaging and management of skeletal neoplasia of the thoracic limb.


The social programme includes dinner on Friday evening in the Player’s Lounge at Croke Park stadium, a Saturday lunch and tour of the stadium itself, and Saturday evening dinner will be held at the Guinness Storehouse.
